She's pregnant with twins and Mariah Carey recently had an unexpected trip to the hospital due to some scary contractions.

The "Always Be My Baby" singer's husband Nick Cannon told press that the whole ordeal was quite frightening.

"They're calling it a 'scare,' but really it was just nerve-racking. We were in the hospital from 4am until I don't even know."

He added, "The thing with twins is that you want them in their natural incubator as long as possible. They might be ready to come out, but we need them to stay in for a while."

And it sounds like the Cannon-Carey twins will have plenty of toys once they're born. "We've got so much stuff … There's all these giant stuffed animals. It looks like Noah's Ark in here. There's giraffes, polar bears, lions."
