While there's been all kinds of speculation over how Lindsay Lohan would handle a plea deal in her grand theft case, her mom Dina said she never considered a plea deal in which she would have to accept guilt.
Mama Lohan told press that while her daughter was looking for any possible way to avoid jail time, she never considered lying and saying she was guilty of stealing a $2500 necklace.
Dina explained, "She was never going to plead guilty to a crime she didn't commit. All along Lindsay has never wavered regarding her innocence."
LiLo's lawyer Shawn Holley added, "Though many advised her to follow the safe route by taking 'the deal,' the truth is, Ms. Lohan is innocent; she has a strong defense; and we are confident that a jury will listen to the evidence fairly and acquit her."
