He's always been a huge proponent in bettering the living conditions in Haiti, but Wyclef Jean claims his recent trip to the island nation resulted in him being shot in the hand.
The Fugees rapper was out campaigning for Haitian presidential candidate Michel Martelly when the incident occurred.
Wyclef articulated, "The way I can explain it is that the bullet grazed me in my right hand. I heard blow, blow, blow and I just looked at my hand."
However, Haitian police are claiming that Jean is blowing the incident out of proportion, and that he was merely cut by some glass. "We met with the doctor who saw him and he confirmed Wyclef was cut by glass," said Police Chief Vanel Lacroix.
